Police Seek 'Person of Interest' in Homicide

Police on St. Croix are looking for 27-year-old Stedroy Hurst, who they called "a person of interest" they want to question about Wednesday’s shooting death of 19-year-old Malik Davis.

The V.I. Police Department has issued a wanted poster for Hurst.

Hurst is described as 6 feet tall and weighing 145 pounds. He has black hair and dark brown eyes.

David was shot Wednesday morning on the front lawn of a residence in Estate Work and Rest. According to police, there had been an argument on the lawn before the shooting.

Anyone with information on Hurst’s whereabouts can contact the Major Crime Unit at 1-340-712-6024 or 340-712-6066, the 911 emergency call center or the anonymous tip service, Crimestoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
