Service Station Robbed, Owner Injured

Police arrested one man and are seeking another after an armed robbery at the Lower Love Service Station on Queen Mary Highway.

The robbery was reported just after 7 p.m. Saturday.

According the St. Croix Deputy Chief Arthur Hector Sr., two armed men entered the station, threatened the owner and demanded money. During the robbery the suspects shot the business owner in the leg, then fled the scene.

Police caught one suspect and continued searching for the second, according to the V.I. Police Department. Neither suspects name was released.

The injured victim was taken by ambulance to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment.

The case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives.
