Cecilia Larocque Dies in New York City

Cecilia LarocqueCecilia Larocque, also known as “Tia,” “Celo” or “Celia,” died on Nov. 17 in Manhattan, New York. She was 52 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ursula Germain; and brother, Desmond Greyham.
She is survived by her husband, Godfrey “Curney” Larocque; children: Zakkiyah Larocque, Zaynah Larocque and Zariya Larocque; father, Raymond Germain; stepmother, Thelma Germain; sisters: Bernadette Germain Parillon, Sandra Germain Southwell, Maureen Germain, Dorothy Germain, Hildreth Germain and Genevieve Germain; brothers: Peter Germain and Patrick Germain; and sisters-in-law: Sandra Germain, Karen Germain, Feraline Cuffy, Adela Graham, Ramona Larocque, Marcella Larocque-Menal, Sybil Larocque, Paula Larocque, Donna Johnson-Larocque and Claudette Serrant.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Joseph “Scott” Parillon, Eusif “Dody” Southwell, Bernard Dinnard, Robert Larocque, Dave Larocque, Alex Larocque and Irvin Larocque; nieces: Brittney Parillon, Tyeann Southwell, Deandra Southwell, Candice Howe, Cassidy Howe, Valencia Prentice, Letisia Germain, Melissa Germain and Charlene Germain; nephews: Kirkston Germain, Mark Graham, Kayon Southwell, Peter Germain, Shaun Germain, Elijah Germain; mother-in-law, Paulette Larocque; godchildren: Bishara Toussaint, Kenny Anselm and Tara Michael; adopted sister, Petrolina Carbon; adopted daughter, Leshelle Liebert; and cousins: Josephine and Sylma Caesar, Anna and Jude Smith, Bascillia Toussaint and family, Velma and Allison Benoit, Jennifer Joseph, Jeff and Christine Jules, Dagma St. John, Gertrude Lecointe, Zillah Ettienne, Veronica Charles and Shirley Agus.
Other survivors include close family and friends: the Morancie and Caesar families, Bridgette Ferrance, Wilfread Ferrance, Laura Hanley and family, Elizabeth Jacob, Zisca Fredrick, Lauren Thomas, Corinne Harris and family, Laurie Thomas-Jacobs, Marcia Johnson and family, Lillian Auguste, Patricia Paris, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, Mary Logan, Julie and Derrick James, Davina Hodge and family, Aretha Charles, Liz Torres and family, Glenda Gordon and family, Magdelene LoBlack, Telford Daley and family, Aloysia Ameedee and family, the staff of Centerline Bakery and St. Joseph’s Children’s Choir; as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery. Attire: (preferably) pastel colors
