Norman Alphonso Edwards Sr. Dies at 86

Norman Alphonso Edwards Sr. Norman Alphonso Edwards Sr., also known as "Glue," of Estate Concordia died on Dec. 28, at Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. He was 86 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabella Johannes; father, Frederick Edwards; daughter, Laverne Edwards; son, Gregory Edwards; and grandchild, Andre Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Correen Edwards-Cook; sons: Aubrey, Bernard, Mario, Norman Jr. & Isaac Edwards; companion: Maxine A. Georges; grandchildren: Natasha Edwards-Santana, Rashawn, Nikki, Dana, Demarri, Jemarra, Jayda, Marianna and Jasmine Edwards, Andre Wilson, Obassi Luke and Ebony Malone; great-grandchildren: Jelani Sankitts, Zhane and Jousés Santana Jr., Marykah Edwards and Erynn Bennett Wilson; and sons-in-law: Earl Elmore Cook and Josues Santana Sr.
He is also survived by sister-in-law: Sybil James; special family and friends: Delores Crichlow and family, Sylvester "Blinky" McIntosh and family, Maria Thomas-Lewis and family, Mr. and Mrs. King and family, Doreen Hess and family, Carmelo Pená and family, Camille Macedon and family, Valdo Martin and family, Munoz, Santos, Galloway, James, Johannes and Hendricks families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at James Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
