Health Department Closes Woody’s

The Health Department shut down Woody’s Seafood Saloon and Restaurant on Wednesday night for violating the territory’s health laws, the department said Thursday.

“They had multiple infractions,” Health spokesman Astia LeBron said, confirming she didn’t have any specifics on the violations.

Woody’s, a popular Cruz Bay happy hour spot and restaurant, will remain closed for at least three days to give them time to clean up the violations. LeBron said that the restaurant will then be reinspected.

If they’re not up to snuff, they’ll remain closed, LeBron said.

No one answered the phone at Woody’s on Thursday afternoon.
