Mapp Nominates Four to PERB

Gov. Kenneth Mapp continued filling vacancies in the territory’s boards and commissions this week, sending down four volunteers to the Public Employee Relations Board.

Mapp nominated Pierina Jacobs Roebuck Feldman and designated her as chairwoman, according to Government House.

Mapp nominated Mohammed Misbeh as the statutorily required St. Croix PERB member with management experience; Joseph Gumbs as the statutorily required St. Thomas PERB member with labor experience; and Frederick Joseph as the St. Croix member with labor experience.

All nominees will have terms for five years and, once confirmed, they will continue to serve until the appointment and qualification of their successors.

“It is my hope that these nominations will see prompt and favorable confirmations. Each of these individuals bring experience and knowledge and will enhance the board’s ability to meet its busy agenda and serve the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.” Mapp said in a statement.
