Three Stabbings Reported on St. John

Three people were stabbed in separate incidents Tuesday on St. John, at least two of them related to activities at the St. John Festival, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At 1:51 a.m., while in the area of the Battery in Cruz Bay St. John, a man was stabbed three times, police said.

The victim told officers he had been attending the Carnival events and was leaving the area when a fight occurred and he felt a sharp pain to his abdomen. The victim also received wounds to the leg and arm and was transported to Myrah Keating Clinic, where he was treated and later transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center.

At 2:45 a.m., while in the area of the Ferry Dock in Cruz Bay, a man was stabbed twice during an altercation over the chain of his relative being taken.

According to the report, during the altercation friends of both parties joined in and as a result the victim was stabbed twice. He was transported to Myrah Keating Clinic where he was treated and later transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center.

At approximately 10 a.m. officers responded to report of a stabbing victim being treated at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital. The victim told officers he’d been stabbed by an unknown person earlier that morning at the St. John Carnival Village.
