New Community Baseball Program Holding Saturday Registration at Tutu Mall

A new Cal Ripken baseball program chartered in the territory will bring more playing opportunities for local youth.

The pilot program, for athletes as young as 4 years old, will begin in November and organizers said this week they will be holding a registration and volunteer drive on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Tutu Park Mall. The drive begins at noon and ends at 2 p.m.

The Cal Ripken program is part of the larger Babe Ruth Baseball League, which provides playing opportunities for players up to 12 years old, according to program sponsor Elite Baseball Leagues and Tournaments.

For more information, residents can come to the drive on Saturday or call 407-519-8717. Emails can also be sent to elitebaseball.vi@gmail.com. Volunteers, umpires, coaches and managers are also needed. For more information on the program, visit https://www.baberuthleague.org/cal-ripken-baseball.aspx.
