Innovative Taking Applications for Two Albert A. Sheen Scholarships

The Albert A. Sheen Scholarships are two one‐time, tuition‐only scholarships of $10,000, awarded annually to Virgin Islands high school seniors planning to pursue a post‐secondary education.
The scholarships were created in honor of the late attorney Albert A. Sheen, who served as legal counsel for the Virgin Islands Telephone Corporation. He was passionate about learning and encouraged youth to strive for a better life. His legacy lives on through the lives of each student who is a recipient of the scholarship.
Students wishing to apply for this scholarship must provide proof of acceptance to at least one college or university of their choice, complete the application and return it to the scholarship committee by the posted deadline.
Scholarship applications can be picked up at the school’s Guidance Counselor Office or at the Innovative Business Centers in Tutu Park and Estate Diamond. Completed applications must be returned to the Innovative Scholarship Committee by the posted deadline of Friday, May 6, 2016.
For additional information, contact Jennifer Matarangas‐King, vice president of public relations/governmental affairs at Innovative Companies, 4006 Estate Diamond, Christiansted, VI 00820. Telephone: 712‐5053

Our sites are more popular than ever, but advertising revenues are falling - so you can see why we could use your help. Our independent journalism costs time, money and hard work to keep you informed, but we do it because we believe that it matters.
