Training Is Scheduled for All School Monitors

All school monitors are urged to attend mandatory training sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 29 to Thursday, Sept. 1, each day at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School gymnasium. Monitors will receive certificates for baton, handcuff, level of force and active shooter training, according to a press release issued on Thursday by Insular Superintendent of Schools in the St. Thomas-St. John District Dionne Wells-Hedrington.
Monitors must wear closed-toe shoes, a belt and loose fitting clothes for the training. Lunch will be served. CPR and First Aid training are scheduled for December this year.
For more information, contact the Insular Superintendent’s office at 775-2250.
