DOH Seeks to Compile Listing of V.I. Exercise Classes/Groups

In an effort to promote physical activity and lower the prevalence of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease in the community, the Virgin Islands Department of Health (VIDOH) Chronic Disease Prevention Program is compiling a comprehensive list of exercise classes and groups in the territory. The final list will be distributed and made available to the community through various media outlets. To have an organization’s activities included on the list, please submit the information below to Lyña Fredericks (lyna.fredericks@doh.vi.gov) by Monday, Oct. 31.
Please include the following details in the e-mail:
• Business Name/Organization Name
• Contact Person
• Physical Address (location of activity)
• Telephone Number(s) and/or E-mail Address
• Day(s) and Time(s)
• Type of activity (e.g. Zumba, aerobics, spin class, etc.)
• Registration Process
• Costs
• Age/Health Restrictions or Recommendations
