DPNR to Hold Workshops for Owners of Terminal Facilities, Underground Storage Tanks, Waste Generators

The V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) has announced that owners and operators of terminal facilities, underground storage tanks, solid hazardous waste generators and transporters will have an opportunity to learn more about federal and local regulatory laws that govern their respective industries.

The workshop sponsored and presented by DPNR will be held on:

St. Thomas: Wednesday, December 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the DPNR Conference Room at Cyril E. King Airport Terminal Building

St. Croix: Tuesday, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the DPNR Conference Room at No. 45 Estate Mars Hill, Frederiksted

“Knowing the regulatory laws that govern your business industry and requirements to remain in compliance is always cheaper than enforcement and better for the environment,” said DPNR Commissioner Dawn L. Henry.

For more information, call Kent Bernier Jr., terminal facility coordinator for the Terminal Facility License Program at 774-3320, ext. 5114 or Kathlyn P. Worrell George, program manager of the Solid Hazardous Waste Program at 774-3320, ext. 5215 on St. Thomas.
