Friends of VI National Park Annual Meeting Set for Jan. 29

The Friends of VI National Park (Friends) will hold its annual meeting from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29, at Rain Tree Restaurant at Cinnamon Bay Campground. The keynote speaker at this informative meeting will be Will Shafroth, president and CEO of the National Park Foundation.

Find out what the Friends of VINP has accomplished and plans for the upcoming year to protect, preserve and educate within the park. The meeting will include an annual report from Friends’ President Joe Kessler, a State of the Park Address from acting VINP Park Superintendent Jayne Schaeffer, and a keynote address from President of the National Park Foundation Will Shafroth.

Light refreshments will be served following the meeting. A shuttle service is available from the National Park Service maintenance parking lot (just past Mongoose Junction) at 1:30 p.m. that day, and will return people after the meeting.
