DPNR Announces Boating, Mooring Registrations

The Division of Environmental Enforcement will immediately begin vessel and mooring registrations for the 2017-2018 year, according to a press release from the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR).

Commissioner Dawn L. Henry Esq. informs the public that the mooring application has been revised and the new application form can found in fillable .pdf format on the DPNR Web site at http://dpnr.vi.gov/environmental-enforcement/ and searching under “Forms.”

A notable change is that all existing mooring holders are required to have GPS location in the format provided on the revised form.  In addition, the DPNR reminds the public of the change in fee schedule, which can be found on the Web site above.

Boaters are asked to walk with the most current registration cards to expedite the process. Boaters are also reminded that registration after June 30 will be considered late and may be subject to a late fee.

For more information, contact Howard A. Forbes Sr., director, at 773-5774 on St. Croix or Jessica A.M. Parris, assistant director at 774-3320 ext. 5125 on St. Thomas.
