Limetree Bay Terminals Awards Scholarships to 17 H.S. Graduates

Limetree Bay Terminals (Limetree) has awarded scholarships to 17 recent 2017 graduates of Virgin Islands high schools to assist them in their pursuit of a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university.

The scholarship recipients:

 Yudelka Acevedo plans to attend San Jose State University;

 Tristan Alcorta who plans to attend Drake University;

 Alina Baltimore who plans to attend Xavier University;

 Mhina Barry plans to attend the University of Texas at Arlington;

 Oné Carrington plans to attend Agnes Scott College;

 Eric Hennemann plans to attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison;

 Iyahanna Hiss plans to attend the University of the Virgin Islands;

 Sylvana Hutchins plans to attend Drexel University;

 Summer Jose plans to attend Temple University;

 De’Umee Liburd plans to attend Jacksonville University;

 Djenne Merced-Green plans to attend Embry-Riddle University;

 Simran Mirchandani plans to attend Syracuse University

 Hillori Norford plans to attend the University of the Virgin Islands

 Habeeba O’Neil plans to attend Barnard College

 Isabelle Elise Stamper plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University

 Eva Taylor plans to attend Simmons College

 Kyarra Titre plans to attend Tennessee Weslyan University

Each recipient was selected based on scholastic records and financial need compared to other applicants. These scholarships will continue for four years, provided the students maintain good academic standing at an accredited U. S. college or university.

CEO Darius Sweet said that supporting education of students in the Virgin Islands community will continue to be a priority for Limetree Bay Terminals.

“Education is key to the continued growth of the community as well as Limetree’s organization. Limetree is proud to support these students in their pursuit of higher education. We congratulate all the scholarship recipients and encourage them to remain committed to continuing their education,” said Sweet.
