Property Tax Amnesty to Begin April 17

Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue

Pursuant to Virgin Islands law, property taxpayers may pay their delinquent taxes with 100 percent waiver of all interest and penalties, according to a press release from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

The waiver only applies to tax years 2015 and prior, and it is effective as of April 17, 2017. Amnesty payments will only be accepted in person or via postal mail through the Office of the Tax Collector.

Lt. Gov. Potter encourages delinquent property owners to take advantage of the amnesty and make prompt payment.

For more information, contact the Office of the Tax Collector at 776-8505 on St. Thomas or 773-6449 on St. Croix.
