On Monday, 50-year-old Glenroy Francis Sr. was arrested and charged in a sexual assault of a minor that took place in January, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to police, at approximately 11:12 a.m., Jan. 22, a minor reported being sexually assaulted and named Francis as the perpetrator.
At about 6:28p.m. Monday Francis was present at the Criminal Investigation Bureau at the St. Thomas district, where he was advised of his constitutional rights and placed under arrest. He was charged with first-degree rape/domestic violence.
Francis was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing. No bail was set, as per the domestic violence law.
