*Updated* Police Investigate Armed Home Robbery on St John

Two minor women were in their residence at Enighed on St. John the night of Friday, June 15, when the home was invaded by two armed, masked men who robbed them of cash and personal items, the V.I. Police Department reported. According to police, two women, whose named were not reported, told police that at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday, two black men entered their property.

Both men wore masks and carried firearms, the victims reported. They told police the men robbed them, assaulted them, took cash and personal items, then took off on foot

Police say two minors were arrested, charged with first degree robbery and released to their parents.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contact the VIPD at 340-774-2211, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807, the 911 call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.

Editor’s Note: This story has been updated to indicate there was an arrest, the arrestees were released to their parents,  that the victims were minors and that the date of the robbery was June 15.
