Soccer Association Holds Premier League Championship Game

After being postponed due to several challenges concerning eligibility of players and teams, the USVI Soccer Association (USVISA) held its Premier League Championship game on Sunday, Feb. 17, at Schjang Ballpark on St. Croix.

The HELENITES of St. Croix played UWS of St. Thomas, and won by a score of 2 to 1. Scoring for HELENITES in the 40th minute was Sheldon Mack and Mackame St. Croix in the 48th minute. UWS’s only goal was scored by Amon Bascome in the 56th minute.

USVISA is planning another Men’s League Tournament, that will feature a knock out format. Tournament fixtures will be distributed shortly.
