Pedestrian Killed By Car Near Cancryn

A man was killed by a car near Adelita Cancryn Junior High School Thursday evening around 7:55 p.m. according to police. A vehicle traveling west on Krum Bay road in the area of Adelita Cancryn Junior High School struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 52-year-old Hispanic male was transported to the hospital via ambulance and later succumbed to his injuries sustained from the accident.
His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
This incident is under investigation by the VIPD Traffic Division.
