Kimberly Boulon Fine Art Gallery Postpones Its March 13th Event

“Little Lamesure, St John, VI – Lost in Time” by Kimberly Boulon

It is with deep regrets, but a sense of profound social responsibility, that Kimberly Boulon Fine Art Gallery is postponing its event scheduled for Friday evening, March 13. Given the Covid-19 pandemic and the very real possibility of the virus being present (it is confirmed in other Caribbean islands nearby although not confirmed yet in the Virgin Islands), the gallery is heeding the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations to avoid large gatherings and practice social distancing, which is the main method of preventing the continued spread of this pandemic.

With the daily arrival of hundreds of tourists from many locations, the chances of the virus affecting our island are high. And with the natural closeness of our community, we can’t seem to help but hug and kiss ?, thus greatly enhancing potential transmission.

The Boulon Gallery will miss being with everyone together; it will miss being entertained by the St. John School of the Arts performance; it will miss seeing the lively artwork produced by the Gifft Hill School students; and it will miss the goodies that Queen of Tarts was going to bestow on us along with Eddie Bruce music, besides the new artworks the artists have created for all to enjoy.

But it just seems like the right thing to do at this time. The gallery will keep the public advised as to when it feels it can safely hold this gallery event. Hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for your understanding.

Our warmest regards, Kimberly and Rafe Boulon
