Pastor Eric Jean Massicott Dies at 86

Pastor Eric Jean Massicott

Pastor Eric Jean Massicott, also known as “Memrol” and “OK,” of Strawberry Hill transitioned to glory on Friday, May 15, at his residence. He was 86 old.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Alton.

He was survived by his wife of 58 years, Andresine S. Massicott; and children: Jeannoel Massicott, Chantal Massicott, Patricia Massicott-Market, Marieyvonne Massicot-Tyson, S. Kent Massicot, Marie Paul Massicot-Antoine, Sylvester Massicot, Patrick Massicot, Marie Massicot-Gorum, Miranda Massicot and Dwayne Henry.

He is also survived by grandchildren: Joel Massicott, Monique Massicott-Santos, Chenell Massicott, Shevonne Massicott, Anna Graham, Sheryll Johnson, Tamara Johnson, Jeffery Thomas, Jeffers Thomas, Mahalia Tyson-Norwood, Tramaine Tyson, Kathlyn Tyson, Micah Tyson, Abigail Antoine, Elijah Antoine, Elisha Antoine, Michael Massicot, Jordan Massicot, Marcus Massicot, Ronal Benjamin Jr., De’ja Hughes, D’Jean White, Domonique Henry and Christopher Henry.

Other survivors include 16 great-grandchildren; sisters: Veronis Massicott, Medina Christopher, Francilia Massicott, Maseline Riviere and Louvena Massicot BeauPierre; brothers: Lipson Massicott, Petersen Massicott and Martin Massicott; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention; May he rest in peace.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, at Kingshill Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that attendees wear a face mask and adhere to the social distancing requirements.
