At 11:42 p.m. the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired in Cruz Bay in the vicinity of Pine Peace. Officers traveled to the location and found an unresponsive Black male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical technicians on the scene concluded that the victim had no vital signs. The victim was identified by family members as 28-year-old Lessroy Gumbs.

At about 11:07 p.m., Jan. 2, the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital in response to a report of a gunshot victim. At the hospital, officers learned that a male gunshot victim had been transported to the hospital via private vehicle. The victim was identified by next of kin as 19-year-old William Isaac of Aureo Diaz Heights. The driver told police that he and the victim were at Container Port Road to view illegal car races when he heard a gunshot. The driver noticed the victim was injured and needed help, and he drove him to the hospital. The victim succumbed to his injury a short time later.

At about 7:05 a.m. the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired in Gallows Bay. Officers traveled to the area and found a Hispanic male with multiple gunshot wounds on the ground in the parking lot between two businesses. Emergency medical technicians on the scene checked the victim and concluded that he did not have any vital signs. Family members identified the victim as 23-year-old Michael Cruz of Sion Farm.
