St. Croix Woman Charged with Cyber Harassment

Detectives of the VIPD’s Economic Crimes Unit on Friday arrested 35-year-old Sharron Lopez of Louis E. Brown Villas, charging her with harassment by written communication, cyber-stalking and cyber-harassment.

According to the police, the arrest took place at around 7:37 p.m., Jan. 29.

Lopez is alleged to have harassed a former coworker in January 2020 by sending multiple threatening text messages using an online text application, causing the coworker to resign from her position.

Bail for Lopez was set at $1,000, which she posted. She was released, pending her advice of rights hearing.
