The Virgin Islands Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council (DVSAC) will hold an education fair on April 25 to bring awareness of child abuse and sexual assault to the community. It will be partnering with several organizations on St. Croix. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will feature information tables, membership tables and a Q&A survivor panel. The organization will be joined by community partners and leaders.
DVSAC will also be providing a coffee bar and assorted pastries for the public. All are welcome and encouraged to come. The objective is to bring prevention and education to the territory. The mission is to coordinate education, prevention and response efforts in order to reduce the incidence of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence and to foster a climate that will make these crimes socially and culturally unacceptable.
