School Food Authorities Applications Available for Summer Feeding Program Jobs

The Virgin Islands Department of Education

The Virgin Islands Department of Education School Food Authorities has announced the availability of applications for employment in the 2021 Summer Feeding Program as well as for registration of a site or camp to receive meals during the summer months.

Only youth ages 4-18 and those with special needs up to age 21 are eligible to receive meals through the Summer Feeding Program.

St. Croix District

Beginning April 12, site/camp applications are available at the SFA office, located at 2133 Hospital Street, Christiansted, V.I. The application should be completed in its entirety and the original document submitted to the School Food Authorities office. Copies will not be accepted. The application deadline is May 28.

Beginning June 7, between 9:30 a.m. and noon, the School Food Authorities invites interested parents and guardians to pick up free breakfast and lunches for children each weekday until the program ends on July 16. Meals will be distributed at Arthur A. Richards K-8 School, St. Croix Educational Complex High School and Juanita Gardine K-8 School.

St. Thomas-St. John District

Employment and site/camp applications are currently available at the School Food Authorities office in Sub Base. The application deadline is May 14.

The Summer Feeding Program will operate from June 14-July 23.

Meal distribution time and sites will be announced at a later date.
