Short-Lived Afternoon Showers Possible, Breezy Thursday

A few showers could affect the Virgin Islands later in the day Thursday, however, shower activity will be short-lived due to a relatively dry air mass and limited moisture currently across the region. Daytime high temperatures should average in the middle 80s with prevailing easterly winds to 20 miles per hour.

Across the regional waters, five-foot seas and winds to 20 knots are expected. There is a moderate risk of rip currents across the territorial coastlines today.
