Ella’s Hope to Hold STT Cross-Island Challenge Ride Fundraiser for Rett Syndrome

Ella’s Hope is about Rett syndrome. Imagine the symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, epilepsy and anxiety disorder … all in one little girl. Ella Gaspard, a Virgin Islander, was diagnosed with this devastating condition.

The Ella’s Hope Mission

  1. to educate and extend global awareness of Rett syndrome and
  2. to fund research grants to world-renowned organizations and universities in pursuit of a cure. The foundation’s hope is
  3. to find a cure, so every little girl that suffers from this condition can live a life full of recovery, joy and contribution.

Ella’s Hope invites the public to join it on the first STT Cross-Island Challenge Ride to be held on July 3.

The event is a bike challenge for serious bikers and family bikers alike. The first of its kind to be held on St. Thomas, it will have a 20-mile “Tip of the Spear” bike ride for adults starting at 6 a.m.

Then, at 8:30 a.m., the serious bike riders will meet with family riders/runners/walkers for a Family 5K parade down the promenade from Port of Sale to Crown Bay where participants will meet up with Ella for refreshments, games and more.
