Happy Saturday!
Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot. There will be a chance of scattered showers, primarily during the morning hours. The heat index will also be very high, up to 107°F, 41.6°C and it’s important to stay hydrated. Saharan dust will continue to be around the territory, but it will be diminishing. The high temperature will be approximately 89°F, 31.6°C, with winds out of the east-southeast at about 18 to 20 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. The chance of rain on Saturday will be approximately 30%.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a chance for scattered showers after midnight. The low temperature will be around 80°F, 26.6°C, with winds out of the east-southeast at about 16 to 18 mph, gusting up to 23 mph. The chance for rain on Saturday night is approximately 20%.

MARINE WEATHER FORECAST
On Saturday, seas will be 2 to 4 feet, occasional seas up to 5 feet, and with a swell period of 5 seconds. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at around 10 to 15 knots, gusting up to 25 knots.
On Saturday night, seas will be 2 to 4 feet, occasional seas up to 5 feet, and with a swell period of 6 seconds. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at approximately 10 to 15 knots.
The water temperature is approximately 82.5°F, 28.1°C.
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS
Rip Currents: The rip current risk is expected to be moderate across portions of the USVI and Puerto Rico on Saturday, and the risk will be low across most other areas. Excessive Heat: The heat index is expected to be high again across PR and the USVI on Saturday. The heat index may reach between 102°F – 107°F in the USVI, and even higher on Puerto Rico. An “Excessive Heat Watch” has been issued for portions of Puerto Rico and St. Croix through the weekend. Be sure to stay hydrated.
