Grants will be awarded based on the potential of the proposed project to promote an integrated approach to addressing shared environmental concerns across island boundaries as well as to projects that contribute to trans-boundary solutions for environmental problems.

NATURAL MYSTIC - backlit by a late afternoon sun, members of Earth Mama's Pan African Dance Company perform at the St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture Fair.
The fair takes place in a new location, at the Bordeaux Farms Pavillion. Saturday displays included rabbits, silkie chickens and a turtle in the petting farm, lemongrass, squash, tomatoes and watermelon.
Chef Ashley Allen demonstrated turkey carving. Jason Budsan from the St. Thomas-St. John Environmental Association showed how layering mulch from storm debris and sargasso seaweed makes great compost.
There was also a coal pot lighting contest at sunset. More fun to come on Sunday.
