The St. Croix Track Club (STXTC) Mustangs took five golds and one silver with four athletes at the Imperial event of the Association of Youth/Junior Athletics (AAJI) in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The competition hosted over 694 athletes from age 14 and up.

2 BVI Natives to Feature in Men’s 2020 Paradise Jam

Paradise Jam announced tournament participants for the 2020 men’s tournament on Friday, and the slate will bring some island players to the territory. Cleveland State, which will feature D’Moi Hodge and Franklyn Penn Jr., both of Tortola, was one of the teams announced.

Aliyah Boston named to Late Season Awards Watch List

St. Thomas-born Aliyah Boston, who now plays for the University of South Carolina, was selected to the late season John Wooden Award watch list last week. Players on the list are considered strong candidates for the Player of the Year award.

UVI Men and Women Beat Carver College

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams from the University of the Virgin Islands defeated their counterparts from Carver Bible College of Atlanta.

Emerald Gems Foundation Donates Basketballs to Public Schools

The Emerald Gems Foundation announced the donation of over 150 basketballs to public high schools in the Virgin Islands. Emerald Gems partnered with the Department of Education, Sports Park and Recreation and the office of Senator Athneil Thomas to make the donation possible.
