Greenidge Gets 12 Month Sentence in Tax Fraud Case

Indica Greenidge, 27, of St. Croix, was sentenced Wednesday by District Court Chief Judge Wilma A. Lewis to 12 months’ imprisonment for her conviction of conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Jesus Garcia, 35, and Jhoan Gomez, age 28, both of Venezuela, pled guilty Wednesday in District Court to one count of possession of a controlled substance on board a vessel, U.S. Attorney Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced.

John Petersen, a 63-year-old St. Thomas man, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Monday by the V.I. Police Department after he was identified as the suspect who struck a woman with a baseball bat.

Rebekah Kelly, a 22-year-old St. Croix woman, was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic violence after a man reported to police that she had sprayed Mace in his eyes.
