St. John Film Society Documentary

St. John Film Society will present an extra screening of “Vanishing Sail.” Filmmaker Alexis Andrews will be present at the screening and will be available for discussion after the show. The documentary follows traditional boat builder Alwyn Enoe as he and his sons work to create a final sailing vessel before the skills introduced by Scottish ancestors, generations ago, are lost forever. Andrews, who is the director and lead cinematographer, was born in Greece and studied photography in London before sailing to Antigua in 1985 and settling there.

There will be a $5 donation at the door and a $5 raffle ticket. Raffle prize donation: Ronnie’s Pizza, Sam & Jacks, Best of Both Worlds.
