Virtual Conversation on Teen Dating Violence

February 23, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

VI Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Council (DVSAC) will host a Virtual Community Intergenerational Conversation on Teen Dating Violence. Nationally, one in 10 teen girls and one in 11 teen boys admits to having experienced physical violence in a dating relationship in the past year. In the age of smartphones and smart homes, using technology to harass and abuse someone has become increasingly common. It may include: sexting, bullying and harassment, monitoring and stalking, sexual coercion, possessiveness or controlling behaviors. Highlighting Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, a panel of teen voices and specialists from around the territory will discuss this growing problem. People of all ages, friends, colleagues and peers are invited to this intergenerational conversation which is a call to action, not just to teens, but parents, educators, faith, youth and community leaders, healthcare and human service providers, criminal justice workers and everyone that cares about teens.

WHERE – Zoom, the passcode is 876 3153 9090

The Community Conversation will also be broadcast live on DVSAC’s Facebook page.
