The annual cross-country season kicked-off for St. Croix on Wednesday afternoon at the University of the Virgin Islands Albert Sheen Campus with the running of the 4H/V.I.Pace Runners Cross-Country Series.
The annual Veterans Day 5K/Virgin Islands Cross-Country Championships were held on the University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix Campus on a bright and sunny Saturday morning. Over a hundred runners in various age groups competed in distances of 1 mile to 3.1 miles on Nov. 2.
Week three of the 4-H/V.I.Pace Runners Cross-Country Series took place on Wednesday afternoon at the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix Campus. Hosted by the 4-H Program of the UVI Extension Service and organized by The Virgin Islands Pace Runners and The St. Croix Track Club, roughly 300 runners, representing most of the public and private schools on the island showed up.
The Virgin Islands Pace Runners announced that a small field of runners took on the V.I. 10K Road Race Championships early Sunday morning on the scenic and rolling North Shore Road of St. Croix.
Cross-Country runners met the challenge of a rain-soaked course at UVI St. Croix Campus in the 29th Veterans Day 5K/V.I. Cross-Country Championships to take top spots.
The Virgin Islands Pace Runners/4-H Cross-Country Series got underway at the University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix Campus on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5.
Student athletes from Eulalie R. Rivera Elementary School emerged as pre-championship winners as more than 10 elementary school boys and girls competed in the Elementary School Track and Field meets in February.
