
On Sunday, Dec. 15, the Lady Dashing Eagles began their gameplay in the Leeward Islands Senior Women Invitational Soccer Tournament. The tournament continues through Saturday, the U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation (USVISF) announced. This tournament is a valuable opportunity for the women’s national team to showcase their skills.
In their opening match, the Lady Dashing Eagles faced Anguilla’s Senior Women’s National Team, where they fought hard but ultimately lost 3-1. Lita Frost made history by scoring the first goal of the tournament for the USVI. The team is now focused on upcoming group-stage matches against St. Kitts & Nevis on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Antigua & Barbuda on Friday at 6:30 p.m., as they work toward advancing to the championship round, according to a press release.

The roster for the Lady Dashing Eagles includes Mylee Bendinelli, Jade Browne, Jayda Browne, Brianna Brudy, Solvana Calpano-Butler, Josie Couch, Jordan Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Magen Freeman, Lita Frost, Kelsey Hill, Johanna James, Kirsten Jones, Leaa Lopez, Lily McMenamin, Kyliz Osorio, Ella Popple, Jenna Rehm, Ariel Stolz, and Naya Vialva. They are supported by a committed coaching staff led by Head Coach Stephan De Four, Assistant Coach Peter Pierre, Goalkeeper Coach David Blaise, Fitness Coach Kirk Goldson, Equipment Manager Hilary Henriquez, Physiotherapist Kern Meloney and Team Manager Anna Scott, the press release stated.

The USVISF encourages fans to show their support for the Lady Dashing Eagles as they represent the territory in this important tournament. Matches are being streamed live on the Anguilla Football Association’s Facebook page for a $2 access fee, and they will also be available on the Anguilla FA YouTube page. Fans are invited to tune in and support the team throughout the tournament, the release stated.
