Kwanzaa Celebration Dec. 26 in St. John

Sigma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will host its annual Community Kwanzaa Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Franklin Powell Park in Cruz Bay, St. John.

The community is cordially invited to join the sorority members in the celebration of family, community and culture.  This year we will honor the Quelbe Resurrection Band of St. John.  The program will be a festive and fun celebration with local artists, dancers, steelpan music and other performances.

The community is encouraged to come dressed in their most fabulous African wear as we focus on the principle of UMOJA – Unity, honor our ancestors and strive to maintain a safe and strong bond in our neighborhoods, islands, nation and race.

Should you require any additional information, please feel free to contact: Program Chairman, Lineek Williams at (340) 514-8719, or Chapter President, Deyzha Todman, deyzhat.1908.com or (340) 998-4954.
