The Virgin Islands Education Department State Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education has announced that its third annual CTE Fair will be held on St. Thomas on Friday, Feb. 28.
The month of February is recognized as Career and Technical Education Month, and the Virgin Islands Education Department (VIDE) is presently asking the community and industry partners to support upcoming CTAE events.
The purpose of next month’s fair is to showcase how the territory’s educators are “Transforming Today’s Learners Into Tomorrow’s Leaders.” The mission of the State Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education is to foster an education system that is well-rounded and addresses diversities and disabilities and accounts for different skill sets and trades.

“The fair is a true demonstration of the upperclassmen who are getting ready to embark upon their careers in the district,” Monique Faulkner, state director of CTAE, told The Source. Those who attend the fair can expect to witness students from across the territory display their skill sets and demonstrate their trades to the public.
VIDE is seeking donations and contributions for future CTAE events, including the upcoming 2025 CTE Fair. Aside from monetary donations, contributions can be made by offering on-the-job training and apprenticeship opportunities or investing time in talking to the students about their personal careers.
To donate and/or contribute, fill out the Donation Pledge Form.
The exact time and location of the fair is to be determined — for more information about CTAE and the 2025 CTE Fair, please contact:
