Kenneth Francis Sr. Dies

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Francis Sr., beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, educator, and friend, of Estate Wintberg, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and a native son of Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Jules Francis; daughters, Karen I. Francis, Kendra Francis Green (“Kitty”), and Kishma B. Francis; sons, Julian Francis Sr. (“Buggs”) and Kenneth Francis Jr. (“Chico”); grandchildren, Nikisha, Naisha, Kadijah, Shamira, Maurice Jr., Maalique, and Kenem; and great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Azariyah, and Patrick Jr.

He is mourned by his brother, Neville Francis; sisters, Debra “Debbie” Francis and Lena Francis; in-laws, Virginia (Vince) Jules-Mayers and Maurice Green Sr.; nephews, Dave Jeffers, Michael, Mitchell, Troy, Shaun, and Alex Francis; and nieces, Marilyn, Mona, Monica Jeffers, Tracy, and Janice Francis.

Close friends and family include Elroy “Fever” Fleming (Renata), Wilbert “Gomey” Gomez (Verna), Hon. Roosevelt St.C (Ileta), David Sr. and Jr., Sonisha Stevens, Garry King, Tyrone “Cujo” and Family, James Brown, Neil King, Arthur “Gutu” Solomon, Cynthelia Green, Vernice Webster, Edwin, Louise, Lyra Lettsome, Beryl Innis, Albert Francis, Stephony “Cindy” Francis-Bastian, Jean (Edlin) Laurent and Dupee, Pedrito “Rock” George (Venetta), Franklin Carty, Winifred David, Glen Shellingford, Oliver Chinnery, Freddie, and families including the Scatliffe, Maduro, and Rabsatt-Stout families.

He is remembered fondly by friends from the C.A.H.S. Class of the 1970s, fellow members of the Plumbing Association, and other trade organizations, along with many other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral service will be held on Jan. 9. Viewing starts at 9 a.m. and Service at 10 a.m. at Trinity Methodist Church in Bovoni.  Interment is Private. Arrangement By Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
