With sadness, we announce the passing of Edez Procope-David better known as Teacher Edez. She passed peacefully on February 4, 2025.
Mrs. David was a teacher in Nevis for many years and moved to St. Thomas where she continued teaching at the Wesleyan School. Upon retirement, she was a foster grandparent at the Ulla F Muller School.
She leaves to mourn her daughters: V. Cheryl David and Judy David; grandsons: Travis David and Javon David; Siblings: Mervyn Procope, Florine Nolte, Inola Procope. Special niece: Sheila Procope; Adopted sister: Doreen Nibbs Hendrickson. Sisters in law: Amalia Battle and Doreen Procope. Brothers in law: Roosevelt David, Irving and William Hendrickson. Cousins Laurel Payne and family. A host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends and the members of The First Wesleyan Holiness Church.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter: Carla (Peggy) Siblings: Esmond, Andre and Robert (Boysie) Procope.
The Celebration of Life Service is on Feb. 27 at The First Wesleyan Holiness Church, Contant 9. Viewing starts at 9am. Service starts at 10am. Interment will be at the Western Cemetery #1. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Turnbull Funeral Home and Crematory.
