Cistern Care Workshops

The Environmental Protection Agency and the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources are pleased to announce a series of upcoming workshops focused on cistern maintenance in the Virgin Islands. These workshops will offer technical guidance and resources for local residents to learn about the “Clean, Protect, and Maintain” approach for cistern management. Residents are encouraged to share their challenges and experience with cisterns in an open discussion forum.

  • Overview of pollutants that may affect health
  • Understanding cistern system features
  • Treatment methods
  • Review of local case studies
