VIPA Announces Additional Cruise Calls to St. Thomas and St. John

Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe announced three additional cruise ship calls to the St. Thomas/St. John district this month:

March 13 – the Carnival Vista will berth at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay arriving at 7 a.m. and departing at 4 p.m.

March 23 – the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Club Evrima will berth in the Cruz Bay harbor in St. John, arriving at 8 a.m. and departing at 9 p.m.

March 25 – the Adventure of the Seas will berth at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay arriving at 8 a.m. and departing at 6 p.m.

Dowe reported that the additional cruise ship visits are expected to bring approximately 10,000 more visitors to the territory. This is encouraging news for the local businesses and residents who depend on the tourism sector for their livelihoods, both directly and indirectly. Cruise ship schedules for the territory are on VIPA’s website at www.viport.com.
