Pistarckle Presents “The All Night Strut!”

Pistarckle Theater presents a classy, sassy, musical celebration of the 1930s and 1940s, “The All Night Strut!” It will strut its stuff and take the audience through the Depression, World War II and the post-war boom.  From the funky jive of Harlem to the sophisticated elegance of El Morocco and the romance of the Stage Door Canteen, this is an evening filled with jazz, blues, bebop and classic song standards that thrill the heart, tickle the funny bone and raise the rafters, by such legendary songwriters as Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway and George Gershwin.  With over two dozen songs “The All Night Strut!” will keep toes tappin’, fingers snappin’ and hearts flappin’.
The audience will hear tunes such as Tuxedo Junction, Beat Me Daddy Eight to the Bar and In the Mood, and lay back and relax to songs like As Time Goes By and A Nightingale Sang in Berkely Square.
This fast paced, all music revue features a swing quartet of outstanding vocalists, supported by a top flight dance ensemble and backed up by a live jazz trio. The play is directed by Frank Bartolucci in collaboration choreographer Pamela Langevin and musical director/conductor Detra Davis.  It features Drew Bowers, Gail De Haas, Jeff Neevel, Gloria Gumbs, Stephen Flately, Jacob Haslem, Karles McQuade, Kimberly Engemon, Joan Martinez  Jones, Leah Collecchia and Pamela Langevin.
