Winners of School vs. Schools Chess Tournament Announced

The first Schools vs. Schools Memorial Day Scholastic Chess Tournament was held at the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School on May 29. Ninety-eight students from St. Thomas and St. John participated in the event. The final results are: Elementary Division, Junior High Division and High School Division

1st Place Antilles Elementary, Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School and Ivanna Eudora Kean High School
2nd Place Muller Elementary and Addelita Cancryn Junior High School
Two special “Extra Effort Awards” were presented to the St. John teams.
Overall, it was a great tournament. Special thanks are extended to Carver Farrow and the kitchen staff at the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School, Edward Thomas at WICO, Willouby Lewis at PGU, all of the chess coaches in the elementary and secondary schools, Radio One.
