The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) will hold its annual open house at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. Come check out the many books, pamphlets, videos, ASL resources and much more for loan to the community at the lending library.
Come learn about assistive technology for persons and participate in awareness activities for mobility, prosthetics, low-vision and blindness, hearing impairment. VIUCEDD is located at 1 Golden Grove, just west (going towards Frederiksted) of the University of the UVI campus entrance. The program will also include a financial planning workshop presentation along with device demonstrations of assistive technology for the future (such as the GPS vehicle for blind persons to drive) that also benefits those without disabilities. There will be door prizes and refreshments.
