Hot, with Passing Showers

An upper level ridge of high pressure and a low level southeasterly wind flow will continue to promote above normal temperatures across the region. Passing light showers will affect the regional waters and
could briefly move over the islands. Later this week into the weekend, a developing upper level trough over the western Atlantic will weaken the high pressure ridge which could result in an increase in shower activity across the local area.

Tranquil marine conditions are expected to continue with seas to four feet and east-southeast
winds to 15 knots (17 miles per hour).

There is a low risk of rip currents across the Virgin Islands.
