On Friday, a St. Croix man was arrested on gun charges after a warrant was executed, police say.
Roy John-Baptiste, 35, was arrested without incident on Queen Mary Highway near the Questa Verde entrance for allegedly pointing a firearm at an establishment’s attendant located in Estate Diamond, Christiansted, St. Croix, on April 16, 2021.
John-Baptiste was charged with assault, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and aiming a firearm. He was unable to post bail for $100,000 and was therefore remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility, pending his advice of rights hearing scheduled for Monday at the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
