On Wednesday evening, the V.I. Police Department reported that a dead body was found near the roadway in Estate Bugby Hole on St. Croix.
After receiving a 911 emergency call on Wednesday morning at 8:36 a.m., officers traveled to the area and located a deceased female in a state of advanced decomposition.
Based on the condition of the body, the detectives on the scene were unable to determine the deceased person’s race or age.
The VIPD is asking the community for assistance in identifying this person. If you have a female family member who has recently gone missing, you are urged to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau immediately at 340-227-5291.
