'ISLAM IN AMERICA' LECTURE AT UVI

January 15, 2002 – Sheik Abdalla Idris Ali, a leading Islamic scholar in North America, will speak on "Islam in America" from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, in the theater of the Melvin Evans Center, St. Croix campus of the University of the Virgin Islands. The public is invited.
Sheik Ali is director of the Center for Islamic Education in North America, a consortium of 500 schools, and is past president of the Islamic Society of North America. He is a foremost Islamic fundraiser, according to a UVI release.
This lecture is the second of seven sponsored by UVI's Social Sciences Division.
