The first 100 kids will receive a free event T-shirt. Handlines, buckets, and bait will be provided. A parent or guardian must accompany all junior anglers. Club members will be on hand at the dock to offer fishing tips.

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism is launching a recruitment drive for local hospitality greeters and entertainers who will welcome visitors at the territory’s airports and cruise ports. The initiative seeks energetic, personable Virgin Islanders who can share the islands’ culture, provide helpful information, and ensure every guest receives a warm introduction to the territory.
Boaters desiring to take the initiative are advised to relocate to the havens mentioned below. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources advises boaters to use the three-point mooring systems found in the “Survive a Hurricane” booklet, available at VITEMA.
The Magens Bay Authority will continue monitoring conditions closely and will reopen the beach for swimming as soon as it is safe to do so. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all beachgoers.
Over the past several days, our team has worked diligently to remove large quantities of sargassum from the shoreline and nearshore waters. While we have made significant progress, we will continue to actively monitor beach and water conditions to ensure the ongoing safety and comfort of our guests.

The Virgin Islands Department of Education State Office of Instructional Development is pleased to announce the launch of pre-orders for the newly released Virgin Islands Civics textbook, limited Student Edition. Due to high public interest, this valuable resource will be made available to interested community members, organizations, and non-public schools across the Territory.
As part of the expanded project scope, streetlight poles have also been ordered for the Melvin Evans Highway. These poles are scheduled to arrive on St. Croix in early July. Striping work is also in progress along the highway, enhancing safety and visibility for motorists.
The Department of Public Works informs the community of an upcoming road closure on a segment of Kronprindsens Gade in St. Thomas. Starting on Thursday, June 19, DPW's contractor - Island Roads Corp. - will commence milling of the roadway, followed immediately by paving. The project is expected to be completed by Thursday, June 26.
